Jetty on Tudwal Island

Maentwrog Masonry were commissioned by the lighthouse keepers on Trinity House to restore the jetty on this island.  Here are photos of our progress, which presented many technical challenges, including replacing two stones to original specifications and drilling into the existing structure by one and a half metres to ensure history does not repeat itself. The transport to and from the island was another dilemma, along with divers' retrieval of the stones of the jetty from the bottom of the sea.
