Darwins Wall
Our masons were involved in all aspects of creating the Darwin Wall at Ogwen Valley Visitor Centre, which is a geological record of Charles Darwin’s 1831 journey across Snowdonia. This involved sourcing the stones from his route with geologist John Mason to the actual design and build of the wall. The cladding of the visitor centre, built by Maentwrog Masonry, was designed to reflect the majesty and geology of its surrounding mountains.
